Both races were a bit lonely and despite some action at the start and end of the races, I was mainly on my own stuck between two battles. Race one was all about pushing to stay ahead of the group behind and then Race two was trying to catch the group ahead. The car performed much better in the wet compared to others than it did in the dry. Also comparing the lap times from the track day in February we’re about a second a lap slower. Something must be not quite right as Rhys went comparitively quicker. We’ve improved the handling using the GPS at Sneterton, so i’d expect the car to be quicker. Engine-wise the poor dyno result after the rebuild could be the source of our problems, so time to start checking everything hope it’s not going to cost too much to get it back up to speed! Strangely though the new engine for this meeting made the car no quicker and also no slower, so I think we’ve been running at that power level for quite some time. I’ve uploaded the video for race one only because race two was so wet I wasn’t sure if the camera would survive…
