Qualifying 14th | Race One 10th | Race Two 13th
Snetterton continued in a very similar way to Cadwell Park. Perhaps I was expecting a bit much to turn up on race day without any testing, but with the dry tyres which I won from Cadwell Park I hoped the pace of the car would improve. Sadly this didn’t seem to happen and I qualified down in 14th which wasn’t part of the plan! Race one I moved forward to just scrape a top ten finish after some close racing to secure the position.
For race two you start where you finish the first race. Therefore any battles you had in the previous races tend to continue. After a few laps I was part of a group of three cars who had the pace to close on the group ahead. Unfortunately a few laps in a mistake from the car behind meant that he ran straight into the back of me and spun me round at the hairpin. I dropped down to 15th and could only climb back up to 13th.
This doesn’t intend to come across negative, but I know the car is capable of podiums this year and there’s something that’s upsetting the handling, causing a lot of understeer. If I can crack that, then I know I can get the results I want.
