Qualifying 8th | Race One 5th | Race Two 7th

Another race weekend of going straight from the rolling road on Friday to the track. Safe to say that this time we had high hopes after finally getting the level of power we needed after a lot of time spent swapping and adjusting until we got everything perfectly matched to the new cylinder head.

Qualifying was encouraging given that we had not done the test day. Race One got off to a good start, the car was quick and even if the handling needed some tweaking I was able to move forwards. In the closing laps I caught onto the battle for 3rd but didn’t have enough time left to try and make a move and settled for a very happy 5th.

Race Two was very similar and a tight battle for 4th went right down to the last corner. Sitting in 6th, I set myself up to capitalise as the two in front tangled at the chicane but unfortunately for me they came back across the circuit and compromised my exit speed, dropping me back to 7th on the run to the line.

Overall I was really pleased with the weekend, it’s now about finding the last few tenths and we still have a few other ideas to explore…
